Surface Hair Care
Surface is a Canadian developed and headquartered, right here in Saskatchewan. It respects personal health and the earth by being free from parabens, sulfates, gluten, animal protein, heavy oil, DEA/TEA(Diethanolamine/Triethanolamine), phthalalates, and plastics(PVP/VA). In place, Surface uses natural preservatives(Rose Ether), natural cleansers with neutral pHs to preserve hairs’ natural pH, vegan proteins to avoid over proteinization and brittleness, natural aromas, and natural colours.
Key Ingreidients include:
Babassu/Aloe/Flax - penetrating moisture, shine, and condition
Trinity Vegan Protein(Gluten-Free) - Amaranth/Keravis/Soy - Natural UV resistance, shine, flexibility, Humitdity resistance, Heat will help lock it in
Micromineral Ferments - Zinc/Copper/Magnesium/Iron/Tourmaline - stabilizes healthy cell growth
Botanical Extracts - Saw Palmetto/Camellia/Ginko/Hops/Balm Mint/Panex Ginseng/Nettle/Maranium - Nourishes, encourages growth, invigorates growth, and works to reduce DHT(Dihydrotestosterone that contributes to hair loss)
Natural Styling Fibers - Sugar/Mushroom Fiber/Vegan Starches - are humidity resistant, and give good hold withno plastics(PVP/VA)

Pulp Riot was Launched in 2016, created in Butterfly Loft Salon in Los Angeles, California. Created by stylists for stylists. Tried and Tested in the salon. All products are vegan and animal cruelty-free.
In Pulp Riot colour families(Semi and Faction 8 permenant) you will find no milk, shellfish, fish, eggs, peanuts, wheat, gluten, solvents, phthalates
Semi(Brights)
Creative colour with deep moisture, pigment suspended in conditioners delivers an almost deep conditioning treatment with Quinoa adding moisture and protein Their claim to fame is tone on tone fading for amazing colour all the while its washing and fading out. Darker, brighter colours can last up to 40 washes(with proper aftercare and products), lighter softer colours can last up to 20 washes(with proper aftercare and products). Semis are paraben-free, PPD(paraphenlenediamine, an irritant in many colours and dyes), ammonia-free, vegas, gluten-free, low pH(3.8 to close the cuticle after what is usually a bleach treatment), it smooths the hair as well as adds shine.
Faction 8 Permenant Colour
Get 100% grey coverage with this ammonia-based, translucent colour(showing natural highs and lows). Formulated to give seamless blending for balayage, ombre, colour melts and root drops(or shadows).

Goldwell Elumen
Elumen is a high performance, permanent direct dye with exceptional shine. Colour is physically drawn deep into the hair to give long lasting durability and shine. Oxidant(Ammonia) free, with an acidic pH, and positively charged to adhere to negatively charged hair(like a magnet), this colour is brilliant and bright from fresh to retouch. Beware: Elumen is commitment! Removing it is a process and not just a quick bleach wash or highlight to remove it.
CALURA by Oligo
Family owned and operated in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Calura is formulated to be healthier and safer
for both stylists and clients alike. Complex and highly sophisticated technologies have been tested and retested to deliver performance, reliability, consistency, and excellence. Exothermic Technology allows this ammonia-free colour line to maximize colour penetration and minimize hair damage to achieve the desired results. The temperature increase is between +4C(+7F), and +11C(+19F). This also allows for the penetration of certified organic essences and keratin found in CALURA. It also allows CALURA to be ammonia and PPD free!
Organic Essences found in CALURA are:
Avocado Oil - porosity equalizer, hydrates and protects against free radicals
Pomegranate Seed Oil - antioxidant that helps distribute pigments, and contributes to colour longevity, also adding shine
Evening Primrose Oil - protects hair and scalp, and locks moisture into the cortex(inside of the hair)
Shea Butter - anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial, improves shine, and appearance of hair, and protects against heat styling
Keratin - derived from sheep’s wool, it is the highest quality, and protects your hair's own natural keratin, as well as adding an antioxidant to protect the hair from environmental elements
